BUYING A PUPPY

  • Make sure you buy a puppy from a litter complying with the KCA breeding recommendations.

  • Request a copy of the parents veterinary certificates regarding heart and eyes. Check that the certificates comply with the breeding recommendations.

  • Request a certificate proving that your puppy has been examined by an ophthalmologist before you pick the puppy up.

         CLUB RECOMMENDATIONS FOR BREEDING

  • Stud dogs and bitches used for breeding must have had their hearts checked and found free of defects. The vet certificate must not be older than one year when the mating is done.

  • Breeders should test the eyes of all puppies before they are delivered.
